YAM India

Founded in 2020, Yam is a print-centric, millennial-run brand that produces locally with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. With this project, they aim to create new and contemporary works of art while employing traditional techniques of weaving, embroideries, sketching, and painting. Rooted in tradition and the age-old crafts of India, Yam India sources their textiles from across the country, including silks from Benaras and cotton and canvas from weavers in South India. 

Their values are ingrained within their pieces as they realize the relevance of sustainability in today’s fashion, and thus choose to make garments and accessories consciously and with zero wastage. Their hand block printed and hand-painted dresses and co-ord sets speak to the modern global women of India and beyond. Forests and flora-inspired motifs and nature-inspired prints and patterns are eminent in all of their work.
